Organic Spinach may be planted in a patio/balcony environment by using containers or raised beds. Bloomsdale Spinach has dark green curled leaves. It is a cooler weather crop. Plant in early spring for a spring crop and late summer for a fall crop. We suggest a 2 - 5 gallon size container, with drainage holes. Fill pot with pre-fertilized potting soil. Sow seeds 1/2" deep, spacing 1-2" apart, thin to 6 inches when seedlings are 2-3" tall. Place in sunny location. Keep soil moist and damp but not wet. If soil feels dry to the touch one inch deep add water until it drains out the bottom of your pot. Harvest anytime leaves are out of the ground. Plant will continue to grow after cutting.
